Hyper Sensitive Syndrome

Office is a place where everyone every time with or without a reason have a status.

Sometimes I don’t understand what are these status actually for? Do we really want to be so crisp in our conversations when we know people and fellow colleagues for 2,3,4 or may be 10, 20 years?

Sometimes I am unsure if I should ping someone when they have the meeting Status on their chat. Are you disturbing them or have they put it and forgot that they need to remove them too. Or is it some personal errand they need to finish and it’s a good depiction of not receiving any pings.

Away status makes me think always, it must be a “Susu” break. How inhuman of me and guilty it makes me feel to ping someone when they are peeing. Virtual life is almost like Real Life in today’s world. It has a lot of visualization and feeling and thinking attached to it. Just that I switch from one mode to the other time to time. How would I feel, that I am peeing and someone is knocking the toilet door asking me questions or talking to me. Shouldn’t I give some space to them atleast for Susu

The worst is Do-Not-Disturb, its like “Dham karke Darwaza bandh kar do kisike muh ke upar… Maat aa yaar mere ghar… Maat kar mujhse baat… Shakal nehi dekhni hai mujhe teri…” Really?

I came just to say “Hi” only. Yes I am jobless in my mind, I have ample time with me “Main toh aivee ayee thi, Koi nehi chali jaati hoon”

Then when you walk back from the dham karke darwaza bandh karnewala friends door to your place it’s like making your eyes walk back from the RED BINDI Sign of STOP to the other part of your laptop screen I keep thinking what next can be done that keeps me Entertained.

I go by the Famous Quote from a Famous Bollywood Movie “Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment” Life is all about Entertainment. So always I want to be happy and entertained.

Sometimes the most amiable status “Available” which is supposedly I am available for chat comes as a Pandora’s Box. It may be I ping someone and the reply comes after one hour. May be that person has gone for lunch forgetting to put the status in away mode. Can I now like shout and say why did you reply after one hour. You are available for Chat. GRRR…. My TIGRESS TEETH is out now. I am going to eat you. May be they are in meeting and after 5 minutes they will say – Payal I am in a meeting. Or May be at times they are just chit chatting with their fellow REAL Colleague (I like to put it this way, the one colleague sitting adjacent to their Seat) that they forget to reply back. However the Nice Young Green Available gives me the least guilt to send a message to someone.

Sometimes I look at my list of people and see some are in

AVAILABLE MODE (AVAILABLE FOR WHAT? I DON’T KNOW)

AWAY MODE (WHY DO YOU WANT TO GO AWAY :( I HATE PEOPLE TO GO AWAY)

MEETING MODE (WHEN WILL YOU HAVE TIME TO TALK, I AM JUST SO FOND OF YOU ALWAYS)

DO NOT DISTURB MODE (OK DON’T FORCE ME TO MAKE YOU DISAPPEAR IN MY MIND – YOU ARE A LOVELY HUMAN)

PS: I NEVER give much importance to the OFFLINE MODE, Either I don’t care or I use Telepathy then ;)
